Phenoxyethanol and Caprylyl Glycol also known as Optiphen is a very gentle broad spectrum preservative that we used only in our whipped body scrubs. The preservative protects the body scrub from bacteria, yeast and mold. Optiphen is
paraben-free and formaldehyde-free. We use the preservative Optiphen at 1% in our formulations.
